Baked Ziti

All the flavors meld so well together, ending up in a delicious dish the kids love as much as adults!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. Johnsonville Mild Ground Italian Sausage
  • 1 lb. dry Ziti pasta
  • 1 onion; chopped
  • 2 jars (26 oz.) spaghetti sauce
  • 6 oz. Provolone cheese
  • 16 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 16 oz. Mozarella cheese; shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese; grated

DIRECTIONS

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Add Ziti pasta cook until al dente, about 8 min.; drain.
  • In a large skillet, brown onion and Johnsonville Mild Ground Italian Sausage over medium heat.
  • Add spaghetti sauce and simmer for 15 min.
  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Spray a 9x13 in. dish with cooking spray.
  • Mix the Ziti pasta in a large bowl with the Ricotta cheese.
  • Layer as follows into the 9x13 in. dish.
  • 1/2 of the Ziti, Provolone cheese, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining Ziti, Mozzarella cheese and the remaining sauce mixture.
  • Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 30 min. in the preheated oven, or until cheese are melted.
