Ball Park Pasta

As a lifelong Red Sox fan, my favorite part about going to a ball game is getting an Italian sausage with peppers and onions! So i decided to take my favorite ball park favorites and make them into a creative dinner entree!

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausages
  • 1 medium green Bell pepper
  • 1 medium red Bell pepper
  • 1 medium Vidalia onion
  • 1 lb. Rigatoni
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. spicy brown mustard
  • salt and pepper; to taste

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat Oven to 425° F (conventional).
  • Julienne peppers and onions.
  • In a bowl toss peppers and onions with half the olive oil, mustard, and salt/pepper.
  • On a small sheet pan place seasoned peppers and onions, then place sausage on top.
  • Cook in oven for 25 min.
  • Put water on for pasta and cook pasta.
  • Once sausage and peppers are cooked remove from oven.
  • In large sauté pan add remaining oil and cook garlic until brown, while garlic is browing slice sausage into 1/2 in. pieces.
  • Once garlic in browned add sausage, peppers, onions, basil and pasta to pan and toss!
  • Eat!
